PESHAWAR: At least seven police officials were injured when a roadside bomb targeting a Rapid Response Force (RRF) van, exploded at Warsak Road, near Darmangi Village on Thursday.
Initial reports from the scene revealed the van carrying police officials was patrolling in the area when the bomb exploded, injuring seven officials. Security officers arrived at the site and cordoned off the area for further investigation.
The injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) for immediate treatment. According to sources, one of the officials is in critical condition.
The injured police personnel were identified as Atlas, Junid and Asim, who were shifted to the hospital. Their condition is said to be critical. Police and Bomb Disposal Unit officials reached the site and initiated an investigation.
